- 1½ pound ground beef
- ¾ cup oatmeal uncooked
- ¼ cup onion chopped
- 1½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup vegetable juice V-8
- 1 egg beaten
- ½ cup Italian bread crumbs
- ⅓ cup ketchup
- Worcestershire sauce to taste
- 3 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon yellow mustard
Instructions
- Mix brown sugar, ketchup, and yellow mustard for glaze. Set aside.
- Mix ground beef, oatmeal, onion, salt, pepper, V-8, egg, Italian bread crumbs, and Worcestershire (to taste).
- Form into loaf.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Top with glaze, bake for additional 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes before serving.
