Yes, today is Kentucky Derby Day. Live coverage begins at 2:30 p.m. ET (11:30 a.m. PT). Post time for the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby is 6:57 p.m. ET (3:45 p.m. PT). You know where I’ll be at that time! But before that, I’ll be in the kitchen cooking a few special small bites to munch on during the broadcast.
We’ll be dining on Bang Bang Chicken Skewers, Baked Crab Popper Delights, Mashed Potato Puffs, and Black Lavendar Bundt Cakes. Doesn’t that all sound delightful? I’ll be in the kitchen all day, I think, but you know I love it!
And later in the day, I’ll be enjoying a Mint Julep or two. All to celebrate the most spectacular horse race of all time! Go get some mint and some bourbon whiskey and you’ll be well on your way to also enjoying this delightful cocktail full of rich history!
Live it up and drink it down!
