Grinch Cookies

Grinch Cookies

I have to admit this is the first time I’ve made the infamous Grinch Cookies and it won’t be the last time. They are most delicious! It’s so hard to eat just one and walk away. To me they taste like a chocolate milk shake in cookie form. Sounds yummy, right? And they are.

Try them this holiday season!!

Grinch Cookies

  • Author: Patti
  • Total Time: 25
  • Yield: 20 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white cake mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 teaspoons green gel food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup red & green M&Ms (reserve ¼ cup for topping)
  • Confectioners’ sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and green gel food coloring until a thick cookie dough forms.
  2. Fold in the white chocolate chips and ¾ cup of the red & green M&Ms, keeping the rest for topping.
  3. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes so the cookies stay thick and puffy when baked.
  4. Roll 2–3 tablespoon scoops into round balls and place them on a baking sheet. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 9–11 minutes until the cookies look puffed, soft, slightly cracked, and not browned.
  5. While warm, press the remaining M&Ms and extra white chips into the tops (I actually added them prior to baking), then dust lightly with powdered sugar for that picture-perfect finish.
